Traveling exhibition 36th Bienal – Belém

25.09 – 29.11.26
Tue – Fri, 9 am – 4:30 pm
Sat – Sun, 9 am – 1 pm

The Fundação Bienal de São Paulo and the Museu de Arte de Belém (MABE) present the Belém edition of the traveling exhibition program of the 36th Bienal de São Paulo – Not All Travellers Walk Roads – Of Humanity as Practice, opening on September 25 and on view through November 29, 2026. This is the third time Belém has been included in the program, which debuted in the city in 2022 with the 34th edition, at Solar da Beira and Mercado Ver-o-Peso. In 2024, the 35th Bienal occupied Palácio Antônio Lemos, home of MABE, where it returns this year. The exhibition is signed by Vale.

The selection is curated by Anna Roberta Goetz and co-curated by Leonardo Matsuhei, both members of the 36th Bienal’s conceptual team, and brings together works by Aline Baiana, Ernest Cole, Forensic Architecture / Forensis, Hamedine Kane, Leila Alaoui, Mao Ishikawa, Ming Smith, Sérgio Soarez, Thania Petersen, and Wolfgang Tillmans.
