Thematic visit – Bigidi mè pa tonbé! Totter but never fall

On October 12, there will be a thematic visit about the second Invocation with the mediation team of the 36th Bienal. The event will take place from 11 am to 1 pm in the mediation space on the ground floor.

In December 2024, the Invocation titled Bigidi mè pa tonbé! Totter but never fall! took place in Guadeloupe, specifically at Lafabri’k, a space directed by choreographer, anthropologist, and educator Dr. Léna Blou, and was guided by dance as its main thread. Bigidi, a practice rooted in the Guadeloupean dance Gwoka, was the central concept of this Invocation and will serve as the starting point for the tour, which weaves through texts and artists featured in the educational publication of the same title, including works by Olivier Marboeuf, Lidia Lisbôa, and Heitor dos Prazeres.
