On November 30, tthe concert Caminhos, by Kennya Macedo, will take place. The event happens from 2 pm to 4 pm at Varana Bienal, external area of the Pavilion.
Kennya Macedo presents Caminhos, an original show that celebrates her career and musical ancestry after 30 years in the business. With influences from samba, soul, orixá chants, and Afro-futurism, she creates an engaging and liberating performance that combines contemplation and dance. After a long career in various projects as a singer and backing vocalist, Kennya debuts her original work, combining samba, soul, orixá chants, and Afro-futuristic elements. The singer presents reinterpretations of icons such as Novos Baianos, Itamar Assumpção, and Jovelina Pérola Negra. Accompanied by a trio, she delivers a powerful, pluralistic show full of identity—a true invitation to follow new paths.
Kennya Macedo is a singer with over 30 years in music. She has been and continues to be part of several different projects such as the Orchestra Paulista de Soul, has been a member of several choirs such as the Coral Luther King, Coral do Estado, and has toured Italy with the Canto Sospeso Choir. In addition, she has shared the stage with great artists such as Graça Cunha, Maurício Pereira, Nando Reis, Skowa Santos, André Abujamra, Sandra de Sá, among others. She also participates in the project Brasileirinhos – Música para os Bichos do Brasil [Little Brazilians – Music for the Animals of Brazil], which was nominated for a Latin Grammy.
