Concert – Filpo e a Feira

21.12 – 21.12.25
Sun, 2 pm – 4 pm

On December 21, there will be a concert by Filpo e a Feira. The event takes place from 2 pm to 4 pm at Varanda Bienal, external area of the Pavilion.

The forró group Filpo e a Feira presents the launch show for Clareira (2025), their third album, bringing together unreleased songs and tracks from previous albums — as well as reinterpretations of songs in the public domain and by artists such as Anastácia, Dominguinhos, Ana Maria Carvalho, and Jackson do Pandeiro. The group’s sound highlights the rabeca, a dynamic 10-string viola, zabumba, triangle, and bass, exploring genres such as forró, coco, samba de roda, fife bands, and expressions of caipira and caiçara culture, such as fandango caiçara, folia de reis, and romarias do Divino.

Filpo e a Feira is a group created in 2014, born out of Filpo Ribeiro’s research on the fiddle and the 10-string guitar, which began at Pé de Mulambo (2007–2014). The core was formed with producer and multi-instrumentalist Marcos Alma, a partner since that earlier phase. The current lineup includes Filpo (vocals, fiddle, and guitar), Marcos Alma (bass), Recife musician and dancer Alisson Lima (percussion), and multi-instrumentalist Lipe Torre (zabumba).
