Brasília – Conjugations: TCU Chapter – Travel as (in)vocation: The Experience of Displacement in the Process of the 36th Bienal de São Paulo with Keyna Eleison

On April 10, the lecture Travel as (In)vocation: The Experience of Displacement in the Process of the 36th Bienal de São Paulo will take place, featuring Keyna Eleison, at the Centro Cultural TCU. In the opening lecture of the program of events at the Centro Cultural TCU, Keyna Eleison, curator at large for the 36th Bienal de São Paulo, shares with the audience the importance of the journeys that preceded the exhibition: the Invocations. Encounters that echoed, across different geographies, the central ideas of the exhibition.
From Marrakesh to Guadeloupe, via Zanzibar and Tokyo, the curatorial team brought together institutions, artists, and practices in a process marked by dialogue, focused on reflecting on the multiple cultural manifestations and their forms of humanity.
The conversation highlights the centrality of these experiences and their ramifications, broadening our understanding of this new phase of the Biennial with its itinerant exhibitions.
